Dr. Maria-Andriani Kostopoulou is President of GREVIO (Council of Europe), Attorney- at-Law, Vice Director and Governing Board Member of the Marangopoulos Foundation for Human Rights. She specializes in human rights law, with particular expertise in gender-based violence and children’s rights, and provides training for legal professionals. She has served as Chairperson of the Steering Committee for the Rights of the Child (CDENF, 2020-2022), Chairperson of the Ad Hoc Committee of the Council of Europe for the Rights of the Child (CAHENF, 2017-2020) and Chairperson of the Council of Europe Group of Experts on Responses to Violence against Children (CAHENF-VAC, 2018- 2020). She also served as member of the Greek delegation to the Lanzarote Committee (Committee of the Parties to the Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse). Dr. Kostopoulou has authored around 50 publications in Greek, English, and French on diverse human rights issues.
