Lindsey Palmer, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Social Work at the University of Utah. She is a quantitative social scientist whose research examines the nature, extent, and impact of Child Protective Service (CPS) involvement on the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable children and adolescents. Her work focuses on allegations of neglect, adolescent mental health and behavioral crises, and the use of administrative data to capture the experiences and outcomes of children impacted by CPS. Her work is funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Her research is informed by her clinical experience providing mental health services to adolescents involved in child protection and juvenile justice systems.
