Dr. Jovana Škorić is an Associate Professor at the Department of Social Work, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad, and holds a Ph.D. in Political Sciences (Social Policy and Social Work). Parallel to her academic career, she is actively engaged in psychotherapeutic and counseling practice, as well as in professional training for social welfare practitioners. A core focus of her research and practical work is dedicated to child rights protection, the prevention of peer and digital violence, and providing support to at-risk children and youth with behavioral challenges. As the Research Coordinator at the Center for Missing and Exploited Children, she leads research projects focused on child safety and public policy development. She has authored two monographs and over 40 scientific papers.
Connect to Protect – Children & Youth at Risk Conference is an international forum dedicated to strengthening child protection and improving outcomes for vulnerable children, adolescents, and young people. Organised by IASIS NGO, the conference brings together researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and organisations working across sectors to address the most pressing challenges affecting children and youth today.
