The Swedish Agency for the Media in Stockholm, Sweden

Hanna Hartleb works at the Swedish Agency for the Media as a senior adviser, where she focuses on analyzing and understanding how children and young people experience digital media influence. She has worked at the Agency for ten years and has a background as a social worker and psychotherapist, with 15 years of experience supporting children and young people with psychiatric problems. This experience shapes her view of digital media as something connected to children’s everyday lives, relationships, identity and both rights and risks for them. Her work brings together children’s own voices and children’s perspectives and research-based knowledge on issues such as wellbeing, body image and vulnerability online. A central part of her role is to make this knowledge useful for professionals who meet parents, children and young people in schools, health care, social services and civil society.

Connect to Protect – Children & Youth at Risk Conference is an international forum dedicated to strengthening child protection and improving outcomes for vulnerable children, adolescents, and young people. Organised by IASIS NGO, the conference brings together researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and organisations working across sectors to address the most pressing challenges affecting children and youth today.
