Efthymis is the Policy and Advocacy Lead at Victim Support Europe, where he is responsible for the organisation’s strategic direction on victims’ rights, with a strong focus on access to justice, protection, and integration for all victims. He brings over 10 years of professional experience in the fields of migration management, victims’ rights, and fundamental rights protection, having previously worked with IOM, Missing Children Europe, Catholic Relief Services, and METAdrasi. Efthymis is knowledgeable on policy monitoring and analysis, drafting of strategic objectives and compromise solutions for EU legislative files, data collection and evidence-based policy-making. Efthymis has been directly involved in developing and coordinating initiatives for vulnerable people and victims, including children and youth. His expertise spans policy analysis, advocacy as a legitimate function for safeguarding fundamental rights, project management, and strategic coordination at both national and EU levels. In his work, he actively promotes intersectional approaches, especially highlighting the need for integrated measures for vulnerable people who have experienced crime or trauma. His academic background as a PhD candidate in Migration and World Literatures complements his interdisciplinary, evidence-based and policy-focused work across the EU.
