Dr. Apostolos Veizis is the Executive Director of INTERSOS HELLAS. He previously served at the headquarters of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Greece as Director of the Medical Operational Support Unit and has worked as Head of Mission and Medical Coordinator for both MSF and Médecins du Monde (MdM), participating in emergency missions, assessments and programme evaluations worldwide. He has also worked as a consultant for the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM). Dr. Veizis is a member of the Governing Board of the Community Child Health Network (CCHN), the Lancet Migration European Regional Hub Taskforce, the Advisory Team of the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Working Group (MHDWG) of the International Foundation for Dermatology, the Task Force on Migration and Mental Health of the European Psychiatric Association (EPA), and the EUPHA Migrant and Ethnic Minority Health Section Steering Committee.
