Short Bio: Ben Leary is a Director at Forensic Pathways, a UK-based digital forensics, dark web monitoring, and online investigations company. He is also a PhD researcher at Aston Business School and a member of the GRIIT Network (Gender Equity Research and Inclusive Innovation in Technology). His doctoral research examines whether AI content moderation systems detect cyber violence against women and girls (CVAWG) as it is defined by those with lived experience. Ben's work brings together investigative practice and applied research, focusing on hidden online harm, victim-centred classification and practical AI tools for police and safeguarding professionals. Through Forensic Pathways, he is also involved in developing CyberDIVA, a schools-based programme that teaches young people about cyber violence against women and girls. He holds an MBA.
