Eszter Salamon is the Director of Parents International and a Consultant to the European School Heads Association on inclusion and child-related ethics, while also teaching at Vytautas Magnus University. Originally trained as a teacher, she is now an education researcher, teacher educator, and school leadership trainer, and holds a PhD in Education Leadership. Since 1989, she has worked extensively in the fields of children's rights and child agency, contributing to international research, policy development, and advocacy. Her work focuses on the rights and responsibilities of parents, child and parent participation, educational leadership, inclusive education, family–school partnerships, and the ethical, child-rights-based use and regulation of digital technologies. Alongside her professional work, she has served as both a parent representative and chair of a school board, bringing first-hand experience of education governance to her research and advocacy.
