Dr. Halil Ecer is a sociologist whose interdisciplinary work focuses on youth policy, urban policy, migration, and evidence-informed policy development. His work examines social problems through the interaction of governance, space, and society, with particular attention to the development of practical, sustainable, and institutionally grounded policy responses. He supports decision-makers in designing evidence-based models that address the needs of young people, vulnerable communities, and local contexts. Dr. Ecer has provided policy consultancy to civil society organisations, universities, and local governments, contributing to applied strategies in the fields of youth, migration, urban governance, and social inclusion. His work brings a sociological and policy-oriented perspective to child protection discussions, particularly in relation to digital risks, social vulnerabilities, and coordinated prevention strategies.
